Cue Masters Pool Club was established in 1986, and has since grown into the biggest pool club in Gauteng North boasting 24 Pool Tables. Cue Masters is the head office of the Gauteng North Pool Association (GNPA) and Tshwane Blackball Federation (TBF).
The operation has had four owners since its inception. The first owner was Colin Povey and the club was originally situated on the corner of Fredrica and 14th Ave. The club moved to its current location in 1993 under the ownership of Willie Erasmus. The club changed owners twice more with the current owner, Hennie Roets (April 2013).
There are currently 300 registered members, including some of South Africa’s top pool players, provincial and Springbok players.
Cue Masters is a well known and well established pool club. It is known throughout South Africa amongst serious pool players.
The name Cue Masters owes its origin to Cue Disasters, a name given to the club in the early years when pool was introduced to South Africa and the players weren’t so proficient in the sport, however it wasn’t long when they changed the name.
Cue Masters is fast evolving into a Sports Club, boasting 24 dart boards and 5 table tennis tables, with dart leagues running on a Wednesday and Social Darts every Thursday, Friday nights are GNDA Social darts. Table tennis is played on a Tuesday night.
Pool leagues include Senior’s (above 40’s), Opens, A and B leagues, Ladies, Blackball and Chinese Eight Ball.
